- Thanks a bunch for visiting the new 2010 version of the Texas Bee Watchers website. I try to post photos of bees and plants to help you learn about the native bees of Texas. I also provide links to other sites that provide information on native bees. Be sure to take your time and push all the little buttons on the navigation bar to take advantage of all the information here. Since I'm not all that good at doing websites–I'd rather be out watching bees and planting gardens–I appreciate your comments.

Prairie verbena and purple prairie clover of the natives. Bastard cabbage, bluets, and a few asian jasmine of the adapted.

Thanks for posting. Where are you located?
My Prairie verbena (Glandularia bipinnatifida) and Purple Prairie Clover (Dalea purpurea) here in Austin are not blooming. Dalea is one of the best bee-friendly plants. During the summer, it will be buzzing with many, many bees.
